This is where I started; freelancing offers your services to others on sites like Fiverr and Upwork.

Do you have skills like programming, video editing, writing articles, building websites, drawing, social media, etc.?

If the answer is yes, you can offer these services to other people and charge them for it.

You do not need money to start freelancing. You need to be good at something; if you are not good, you can learn it.

It might take a month to learn a skill, which can pay you for the rest of your life.

My advice is this: you need to follow these three steps if you want to become a successful freelancer.

  • Be good at something. If not, learn something and do it until you become good.
  • Offer the service for free to a few people, which will do you two things: first, it will prove that you are good at it ( you will get feedback by offering free service). Also, you can ask people who received your free service to give you reviews on Fiverr or Upwork.
  • Charge for your service. Now that you know that you are good at something and have reviews, you can leverage that and start charging people for your service.

Instagram

Instagram is hot right now. If you do not have an Instagram page, I recommend starting one. You can build your Instagram from scratch, and in a few months, you can make a living from it.

To profit from Instagram, you must first pick a niche around which you will build a page.

Figure out what big accounts are in your niche, study the type of content they post, and create your content similarly.

Start interacting with people who interact with those pages and follow active people.

Most of these people will start following you, and if you post the same line of content as those big pages, they will interact with your page, too; this way, you will grow your account.

When posting images on Instagram, use hashtags to attract people not in the circle we discussed above.

I included YouTube as a free way to start your own business because it does not require any investment apart from the video recording device.

You can do it using your phone or your computer. If you can read this, you have everything you need to start a YouTube channel.

Your video will look wild at the start of your YouTube channel, but with time, you will get better, and with your money, you will invest in better equipment.

The secret to making money on YouTube is to pick a niche, make a few videos, find out what type of videos people like, and make more of them.

You need to be consistent if you want to make money on YouTube. I recommend posting at least three videos per week until your channel gets some traction, and then you can change your schedule.

The most important metric in YouTube is the Click Through Rate or CTR, which is the percentage of people recommended to watch and click on your videos.

Watch time is, on average, how many people watch your video to the end. If you have a watch time of 60%, it means that, on average, people watch 60% of the time on your videos.
